Lets talk about equitable excellence scholarship, Scholarship America®, the largest national designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for businesses, foundations, associations, and people, is in charge of running this program. The sponsor alone determines a program’s eligibility, and the evaluation team at Scholarship America looks over any qualifying applications. This program will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation in the terms, conditions, or privileges of participation, in accordance with Federal law.

The scholarship for 2023 is currently OPEN! October 18 to December 16 is when applications are accepted. Equitable Foundation is now putting more of an emphasis on identifying children with promise who exhibit the traits of leadership, tenacity, and resilience that are essential to their success in the future.

The company’s philanthropic giving arm, Equitable Foundation, has a flagship program called Equitable Excellence.

It can be challenging to find the best merit-based scholarships for college. It can be challenging to perform a scholarship search because there are so many programs available. We are aware that it can be difficult to locate college scholarships that fit your needs. We’ll go over all the information you need to know about applying for the Equitable Excellence Scholarship, which has taken the position of the AXA Achievement Scholarship, in this tutorial. We’ll talk about deadlines, and eligibility.

But before we get started, let’s go over some fundamental details about merit-based scholarships. These scholarships, for instance, are distinct from other forms of financial aid, such as loans and need-based scholarships. Additionally, we will give you a brief description of Scholarship America, a helpful tool for your scholarship hunt. We’ll also offer links to additional resources that can help you learn more about financial aid and scholarships.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship- Funding

The Equitable Excellence Scholarship is funded by the financial services corporation Equitable through its charitable giving arm, the Equitable Foundation. This fellowship was once known as the AXA Achievement Scholarship and was funded by AXA when it owned Equitable. However, Equitable has updated this program and changed its name to the Equitable Excellence Scholarship starting in 2020. Both the application process and the eligibility requirements for applicants are comparable. Equitable, however, altered the monetary award sums and improved the participation and professional development initiatives.

The goal of Equitable and the Equitable Foundation is to support people in achieving financial security in order to contribute back to their communities. The Equitable Excellence Scholarship therefore focuses on helping and inspiring kids by offering college scholarships so they can keep up their leadership and make great contributions to their communities.

Additionally, relationships with other organizations including Scholarship America, CommonApp, and National College Attainment Network {NCAN} help to support the Equitable Excellence Scholarship.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship vs. AXA Achievement Scholarship

As was already mentioned, the AXA Achievement Scholarship was once known as the Equitable Excellence Scholarship. Up until 2020, AXA, a sizable insurance provider, owned Equitable. Since then, Equitable has changed the name of this merit-based grant from AXA Achievement Scholarship to Equitable Excellence Scholarship and revised its design. The Equitable Excellence Scholarship offers financing to recipients in addition to professional development opportunities and engagement initiatives, just like the AXA Achievement Scholarship does.

Several significant features of the scholarship have altered since it was redesigned by Equitable. The criteria for eligibility are still the same. Candidates must be senior high school students who are citizens or legal residents of one of the 50 United States, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico. The value of financial awards varies, though.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship-Scholarship Award, Cost Over $5,000- $20,000

Two levels of financial awards are available through the Equitable Excellence Scholarship: the highest level is a $5,000 annual award that is renewable for each of the four years of college, and the second level is a $2,500 one-time scholarship. Both levels of scholarship recipients receive access to programs and opportunities for professional growth, such as networking, mentoring, and professional skill development.

Although there are still two levels of financial awards for recipients of the Equitable Excellence Scholarship, the monetary award amounts for the AXA Achievement Scholarship were altered when Equitable redesigned it. The highest level offers 100 $5,000 annual renewable scholarships for each of the four years of college. This implies that each scholarship recipient will get a total of $20,000 over the course of four years of education.

The Equitable Foundation also offers 100 one-time college scholarships in the sum of $2,500 to help students as they start their academic careers. Any college-related costs, such as books, tuition, and room and board, may be covered by this grant.

Finally, beneficiaries of the Equitable Excellence Scholarships not only receive financial aid for college, but also have access to engagement and development opportunities through Equitable. These initiatives, which include mentoring, networking, and professional skill-building programs, give students the chance to engage directly with Equitable employees and executives.

Equitable Excellence Scholarship-Eligibility for Student to Apply

To be eligible for the Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program, candidates must:

  • Be legal residents or citizens of the United States, residing in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Be current high school seniors who intend to attend full-time by the fall of 2023 in an American** two-year or four-year college or university that has received accreditation.

On a case-by-case basis, enrollment in an approved postsecondary school outside of the United States may be taken into account.

  • Be a force for good in your activities at work, in the community, and in school by displaying ambition and determination.
  • Be prepared to sign a release allowing their names, accomplishments, and photos to be used in program advertising and information, as well as to be publicly identified.

You cannot apply to this program if you are an employee or an associate of Equitable, Equitable Advisors, or any other company that is linked with Equitable. You also cannot apply if you are an immediate family member of an employee or associate of Equitable, or a financial professional.

Required Material Applicant

You must include the following in your application by uploading it:

  • A complete and current transcript of grades. Not acceptable are grade reports. Transcripts are required to include the student’s name, school name, grades, and credit hours for each course taken during each term.

If Not all essential materials are submitted online, your application is not complete.

 Deadline for Applications

The application period for the Equitable Excellence Scholarship will start in October. You should plan to apply early because, similar to the previous AXA Achievement Scholarship, only the first 10,000 applications will be approved for review. The application deadline is often in the middle of December; once the application is open, take sure to verify the precise date.

Winners of the Equitable Excellence Scholarships will be notified by the Equitable Foundation in the spring, and over the summer, a public announcement will be made.
